What is Lumecca?
Lumecca IPL is the current most powerful intense pulsed light (IPL) on the market that treats pigmented and vascular lesions on the face. Lumecca is indicated to treat brown spots (often referred to as “aging” or “sun” spots), reduce freckles, repair sun damage, treat rosacea, and remove vascular lesions such as spider veins.
It is also referred to as the “Photofacial” because of its additional antiaging benefits such as collagen production, skin brightening, and skin tightening. A series of at least three treatments is recommended for best results.

What to Expect

You will first meet with one of our experienced and trained professionals on IPL treatment to determine if IPL is the best treatment.

Treatment time is typically 15-45 minutes but may vary based on treatment area. Ultrasound gel is applied to the skin and you will wear protective eyewear during the procedure. There may be some mild discomfort, but it is minimal and brief.

Treated areas look worse (darkened) initially. Results and clearance of pigmented areas are seen in 7-10 days. You are required to avoid prolonged sun exposure for two weeks following your procedure and wear sunblock daily.
